Software Verification Specialist
At Solido Design Automation, the quality of our software product releases is a top priority. We are looking for an experienced, professional software tester to join our highly qualified team.
Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with a small, but well-established QA team.
- Work closely with our product team and corporate applications engineering team to identify testing priorities.
- Evolve and maintain an already large suite of automated tests.
- Assist with the evolution of our existing test plan.
- Execute the test plan, while prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and maximize ROI.
- Review specific software revisions by examining changes and deciding which tests to run.
- Assist with software release management.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional software testing experience
- Thorough knowledge of software testing methods
- Strong aptitude for finding defects
- Able to inspect and understand source code
- Ability to follow and evolve a test plan
- Able to develop automated test cases
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix at a user level (i.e. sys admin skills not required)
Assets (not required - we will gladly train the right person):
- Knowledge of analog circuit design flow and tools
- CS/EE dual degrees
- Experience working with version control systems (SVN, CVS)

Corporate Applications Engineer
At Solido Design Automation we are committed to providing our customers with creative technical solutions and outstanding product support. Our talented and friendly team of Corporate Applications Engineers works closely with customers and helps them successfully apply our products to their unique applications. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Corporate Applications Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with integrated circuit designers and CAD engineers from Solido's customers and prospective customers
- Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions
- Manage product evaluations
- Provide pre- and post-sales customer and product support
- Work closely with customers, R&D, marketing, and sales to prioritize and guide the implementation of product enhancements
- Generate technical product support material, including case studies, whitepapers, application notes, training material, technical papers, user guides, scripts, and product demonstration examples
- Travel to customer sites and trade shows as necessary
- Identify new applications and opportunities for Solido's products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field, plus one or more of the following:
- A master's or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Outstanding performance in a bachelor's program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux-based operating systems
- Scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts, Perl, Python, Matlab, SKILL, OCEAN, etc.)
- Good judgment and ability to prioritize work effectively
Qualification Pluses:
- Semiconductor and/or electronic design automation experience

Field Applications Engineer

We are looking for a field applications engineer who has strong technical skills and truly enjoys working with people.

- Travel to customer sites to work directly with integrated circuit designers and CAD engineers

Analog IC Engineer
Solido Design Automation's variation-robust design products have many applications to analog IC design, in addition to memory and custom digital IC design. We are looking for an experienced analog IC engineer to assist with the analysis and design of our customers' circuits, as well as to help guide the development of powerful, intuitive, and easy-to-use transistor-level design tools for variation-robust design.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customer circuits to help them meet and exceed specifications in the presence of manufacturing variation
- Work closely with R&D to guide the implementation of product enhancements and to tightly align Solido's products with common design workflows
- Interact directly with circuit designers from a variety of semiconductor design companies to help them successfully use Solido's products
- Travel to customer sites as necessary to work on-site with other analog engineers
- Generate technical product support material, including case studies, whitepapers, and technical papers
- Identify new applications and opportunities for Solido's products
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in analog IC design, or a Bachelor's degree plus equivalent experience
- 2+ years of industry analog design experience
- Solid understanding of the analog/transistor-level design flow
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
Qualification Pluses:
- Comfortable with a variety of design types (e.g. data converters, PLLs, amplifiers, memories, voltage regulators, custom digital blocks, etc.)
- Familiar with Cadence analog design tools (Virtuoso, Analog Design Environment, Spectre, etc.)
- Variation-robust circuit design experience (e.g. statistical variation, proximity effects, etc.)

Software Developer
(Senior, Intermediate and Junior)
You will be a key member of a project team to develop and deliver core modules of a breakthrough product in a venture capital backed start-up company in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry. You will be responsible for defining, designing and implementing complex software. You will be participating in the decision-making for product features and the software life-cycle. You will be expected to take a greater leadership role as the company grows.
Qualification Musts:
- BSCS, BSEE or Masters in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering
- Software development experience on Linux, HP, or Sun
- Experience in object oriented (OO) software design and implementation
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills; team player
Qualification Pluses:
- Languages: Python, C/C++, Matlab, Cadence SKILL
- Experience setting up and working within a development methodology and environment for commercial Linux/HP/Sun software
- Experience in agile software development methodologies, software testing methodology and tools, and quality assurance (QA)
- Understanding of microelectronic circuits
- Experience with analog layout tools
- Experience with SPICE-like simulators
